Additional Subject Information

When notified of an emergency, the ARFF department must respond to the incident scene with appropriate personnel and firefighting equipment in accordance with IAW standard operating procedures (SOP). The main incident priorities include life safety, incident stabilization and property conservation. Additionally, the ARFF Incident Commanders and officers must record pertinent incident information in an incident report and submit incident data to NFIRS. Incident reports provide crucial information for investigations. The FAA particularly emphasizes the importance of evidence at the scene. Airports fire departments are responsible for obtaining photographic coverage of the scene. Airports can use a comprehensive ARFF Management System to accomplish all these tasks at the scene. The ARFF management system should be accessible on a mobile device for ease of reporting incident details and capturing evidence.
