System Details

ProDIGIQ’s Environmental Management System, CYTHERA, streamlines the documentation and monitoring of key environmental and sustainability initiatives for Airports. With CYTHERA's real-time data and automated alerts, airports can improve the management of environmental permits, projects and compliances. CYTHERA also supports third party system integration to automatically capture environmental and sustainability data. The system provides the capability of tracking and visualizing environmental and sustainability KPIs and goals relating to various topics, including but not limited to, energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, material usage, waste management, water conservation, air quality, stormwater, and natural resource consumption. CYTHERA is configurable and allows airport personnel to customize the visualizations on their dashboard.

  1. Analytics Dashboard to display any environmental KPIs and track progress on sustainability goals
  2. Track environmental permits, licenses, certificates, agencies, and compliances
  3. Seamlessly generate reports for compliance purposes
  1. Automate alerts to appropriate stakeholders of key deadlines

Additional Subject Information

As global demand for air travel increases, aviation-related environmental impacts are also likely to increase. Local air quality, ambient noise levels, water quality, energy use and climate change are some of the most prominent impacts of concern. The ICAO defines an Environmental Management System (EMS) as a set of management principles intended to identify, evaluate, monitor, and reduce the negative environmental impacts of an organization’s activities. EMS can simplify complex environmental issues by providing a structured framework that makes environmental management more efficient, reduces costs, and allows for continuous improvements. In addition, EMS facilitates reporting and evaluation of environmental performance, compliance with National Environmental Policy Act, Part 150, Part 161 and other Federal environmental laws and regulations, and management of permits such as NPDES. A well-designed and implemented EMS should meet the requirements to be certified to the ISO 14001 international standard as well as the EMAS regulation. EMS can help airports qualify for certifications from globally renowned organizations, such as LEED, GC-Mark and Envision, in recognition of its commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
